Hello, Internet friends and Internet strangers. My name is Edie (Ee-dee). I am a twenty-three year old living directly inside the great rotted heart of the British state. I have no preferred pronouns, they seem rather unimportant to me. Gender as a whole is something I find rather bothersome and quite tedious. I refer to myself in both feminine and masculine terms, without distinction, because the difference, to me, is arbitrary. I am a dyke, a faggot and a queer.
I am a big fan of all things lesbian and of women in general. I consider myself an impassioned fan of many incredible women, most notably Björk, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Billy Holiday and Kelis. Music is my greatest love in life, although I also enjoy reading, writing and watching films; in fact, I was pursuing a degree in English and Film Studies at university before I dropped out. I have a rather large CD collection that is constantly growing despite my best efforts to stop purchasing more.
I enjoy taking long, quiet walks through the city and finding new vantage points from which to observe the world. My favourite places to waste time are art galleries and museums. Often times I wander around a gallery in a daze, spending several hours digesting the art until I am so full up of artwork that I start to lose myself (that is how I know that it is time for me to leave). Art, both the enjoyment and creation of it is by far, the most important aspect of my life. My preferred form of self-expression is poetry, but I also draw, paint and, occasionally, DJ.
I created this website as a means to share my passions and archive my inspirations. I hope you enjoy your visit!
